Located in Barrie, Ontario (about 90km north of Toronto) We specialize in vintage and contemporary handwired guitar tube amplifier repair and maintenance. Pearson Amplification services include repair, biasing and retubing. Maintainence includes services such as replacing old capacitors, cleaning, socket retensioning, voltage tests, power cord replacement to modern electrical standards and 'death cap' removal. We can test your old tubes on our Stark 9-66 mutual conductance tester and can provide vintage old stock and nos tubes upon request depending on stock. We also perform circuit upgrades and modifications. Custom builds are also available on an individual basis. When possible, priority will be given to working musicians in order to have their amps ready for upcoming gigs. I also restore and modify vintage pa amplifiers for use with guitar and bass. Inquire for a current listing of available amps. The integrity of vintage amplifiers is very important to us here at Pearson Amplification so only damaged parts and components will be replaced. Any parts removed from a vintage amplifier will be given back to the customer upon request.
